Negotiations continue. Last negotiation was July 11, 2013 and workers announce there is still no resolution.

However, there are some good news amidst the sweltering heat. Some of the workers, among them the widow of the late Felix Trinidad, received their first checks for the settled wage and hour lawsuit against Sonny Kim.

The lawsuit was filed by the law firm Advocates for Justice in June 2011. Two years later workers received the first payment and some justice for their claims.

Information in connection to the case can be accessed  via the Public Access to Court Electronic Records.

In terms of the hot weather, ask yourself if you would rather be night shift on the picket line on the corner of East 4th and Church Ave in mid January. Good times!
